Insulation
Thermal, acoustic and electrical insulation is essential to ensure comfort and safety in industrial and residential environments. Thermal materials reduce heat loss, improving energy efficiency. Acoustic ones lower noise, creating quieter and safer environments. Electrical insulation prevents short circuits and electrical damage, protecting both people and equipment
For many years Gecam has been manufacturing products for this purpose. For example, part of the company’s core business is the production of sound-absorbing material panels to be applied inside engine bonnets to reduce operating machine noise, but also to thermally insulate areas of the engine compartment that would tend to heat up excessively. Gecam was one of the first Italian companies to produce a perimeter sealing treatment for these panels, which has now become almost a standard in the industry.
For the electrical insulation sector, Gecam also produces parts, such as gaskets or plates, used in the insulation of electrical systems or logic boards.
