Materials and surfaces that use reflective IR pigments remain cooler under direct sunlight. This is particularly useful in outdoor applications, reducing the need for active cooling.
Less heat accumulation means less thermal stress, extending the lifespan of products and reducing the risk of warping and discoloration.
By reflecting infrared radiation, the amount of heat that penetrates into buildings or vehicles is reduced, decreasing the need for air conditioning and, therefore, energy consumption.
The use of masterbatches with reflective IR pigments improves the efficiency of detection and automatic separation in recycling processes, increasing the circularity of dark-colored plastics.
